Forest Barns is a secluded Gloucestershire wedding venue set within a private rural hamlet in the Forest of Dean.

Our five luxury cottages provide accommodation for up to 26 guests, each cottage with its own private hot tub. Weddings can include up to 18 additional day guests, allowing up to 44 people in total to share your wedding day.

Choose from two characterful indoor ceremony spaces, two licensed outdoor lawns and a relaxed collection of gardens and grounds. From a simple ceremony for two to an exclusive two-night wedding weekend, you can create a celebration that feels personal to you.

Children and four-legged family members are very welcome.

Wedding Options at a Glance

Cider Barn Private Escape — Ceremony Only - From £799

A beautiful, simple weekday ceremony in our licensed Cider Barn, followed by photographs and a celebratory fizz toast.  

Best for couples who would like a meaningful ceremony without booking a wedding reception or full accommodation package.

Romantic Elopement Stay

Stay in one of our luxury cottages, marry in an agreed licensed ceremony setting and enjoy time together with your own private hot tub.

Best for just the two of you, or a very small gathering of close family and friends.

Micro-Wedding Weekend — Sleeps Up to 16

A relaxed two-night wedding stay using The Manor, The Stables and Brambles, each with its own private hot tub.

Up to 10 additional day guests may attend by prior agreement, and the Cider Barn can be added if required.

Best for couples who want more than an elopement but prefer a smaller celebration with close family and friends.

Full Exclusive-Use Wedding Stay — Sleeps Up to 26

Reserve all five cottages, hot tubs and the principal wedding spaces for your own private two-night wedding celebration.

Up to 18 additional day guests may attend, allowing up to 44 people in total to share your wedding day.

Best for couples who would like the entire hamlet reserved for their wedding party.

Larger Celebrations by Arrangement

For larger wedding plans, a marquee, stretch tent or tipi may be possible on one of our lawns as part of a full exclusive-use booking.

Celebrations for up to 60 people in total may be considered, subject to the agreed layout, suppliers, facilities and written approval.

Larger Celebrations by Arrangement

For larger wedding plans, a marquee, stretch tent or tipi may be possible on the front of the Apple Store function room or on one of our lawns as part of a full exclusive-use booking.

Celebrations for up to 60 people in total may be considered, subject to the agreed layout, suppliers, facilities and written approval.

Short-Notice and Last-Minute Weddings

We sometimes have late availability for elopements, small weddings and ceremony-only bookings. These are subject to venue availability and the legal notice requirements for your ceremony.

Your Wedding Night and Forest Mini-Moon

Once the celebrations are over, retreat to Brambles, our secluded romantic cottage for two. Enjoy a private balcony hot tub, celebratory fizz, peaceful countryside views and a little time together before returning home.

Couples may also be able to extend their wedding stay and enjoy a relaxing Forest of Dean mini-moon after their guests have departed.  Spend a few unhurried days walking from your cottage door, discovering local restaurants, relaxing in your hot tub or simply enjoying the peace and privacy of Forest Barns.

Mini-moon extensions are available subject to cottage availability and can be discussed when arranging your wedding stay.
